That's pretty bad.
If she had to choose between rescuing her child or her cat, I'm not sure which way she'd decide (since she seems to value animals more than people).
We had a cat when I was a kid that ate her kittens. The kittens were alive, well, until the mom chomped their heads off anyway. Great instincts, animals. Brains? Useless, I tell ya. Why think things through when ya can count on good ole animal instincts?
