Islamic Insanity

In Iran, a girl was sentenced to death by hanging for defending herself against rapists. If she hadn't defended herself, she would be stoned as an adulterer.

British woman who was arrested on 'extra-marital sex' charges after reporting gang rape to police in Dubai, as her attackers go free

Enchanted_Bunny commented on Reddit about a "British woman who was arrested on 'extra-marital sex' charges after reporting gang rape to police in Dubai, as her attackers go free":

>>>> "Police regularly fail to differentiate between consensual intercourse and violent rape,” she added.

>>>> "Victims go to them expecting justice, and end up being prosecuted. They not only invalidate their victimisation, they actually punish them for it."

>>> This is pretty terrible.

>> The first part is a pretty common tragedy which happens in a lot of countries but the second part is what truly makes this heinous. They're not only reinforcing the disgusting view that a woman's value disappears after she is raped, but also blaming this "loss in value" on the woman herself. It's an entirely new level of misogyny where everything a woman goes through is judged by how men view the result.

> It's actually a very old level of misogyny.

> It's honestly what puzzles me about the left. They seem to make every excuse they can for muslims, even when those muslims espouse horrifyingly sexist beliefs like this. If a Christian minister were to say it's a woman's fault for being raped here in the U.S., it'd be a media firestorm. The church would get national attention. The left would be so ready to paint all Christians with a broad brush. But if a Muslim Imam says the same thing in an American mosque, nothing. No attention. If it does get out, the left is there to rationalize and justify in the name of tolerance. "Oh you can't judge other cultures." Yes we fucking can.

> I, for one, think a Christian espousing horrible views should get negative attention. I also think a Muslim, Buddhist, or even an Atheist espousing horrible views should also get negative attention. The liberal media seems to want to give Islam a special shield against criticism and that is fucking bullshit.

I like that people are noticing this.
